Under Witch Curse: Cover Reveal!

Under Witch Curse will be released to the wild on approximately April 4, 2013. Earliest copies will be available at my website store. For the first week, the book will be priced at $2.99 at my store, Amazon outlets, B&N, and Kobobooks. It will not be available at Smashwords until later due to complicated formatting requirements there. It will not be available in print until later in the year (think hardback and the mass market release, only in this case, it’s ebook and then paperback release!) After the first week, Under Witch Curse will be priced at $4.99 at all outlets mentioned above.

Meanwhile (I know y’all did not read the top paragraph. You went straight to the cover, didn’t you???) here is the cover for Under Witch Curse.

Book 3 – Moon Shadow Series

When is a blessing a curse? What if you curse a blessing? Adriel needs the answers and quickly because one spell will keep vampires at bay and the other will set something far worse free. Vamps aren’t her only problem, either. Zandy, the wily coyote, is back in town, and he’s out for blood. Someone had better find him fast because the body count is rising.

With White Feather to help, Adriel expects life to get easier, but the relationship comes with new responsibilities and unpleasant surprises that put a price on friendship. This time, Adriel might just need more than solid ground beneath her feet and the wind at her back in order to survive.

Well, what say you? Will it suffice???

*Thanks go to LeAnn and Valentino for technical and artistic assistance. Valentino did the cover and design for Under Witch Aura.

  1. I love the cover, Maria. It’s all there – the moon, the feather, the Indian jewelry, shadows and mist… Great job!
Somehow, I didn’t expect to see the hot leather shorts/skin tight pants and stiletto heels. Not that I miss all that, but it sure would have been a hilarious surprise. Hee hee.

  4. Gosh, Luv, now I feel a sudden need to switch the model with one who is wearing hot leather pants…WHY didn’t I think of that???!???

Thanks, Elisabeth! I’m always nervous about the cover. It’s that first foot forward and all that!

  6. Oooh! I like. Misty and spooky and eye-catching. Love the way the feather stands out on her top. Really like the turquoise jewelry, too.

  7. That cover is eye catching and I agree the jewelry really works, eye goes right to the feather. It is beautiful.

  8. Very cool!!! I agree – that feather pops. And yes, I did in fact skip the copy and go right to the cover! :-)

  9. Lol…I didn’t expect or want you to do the over-the-top sexy urban fantasy stiletto gal; like you, I think those covers are usually quite silly – I was just trying to be funny and thought how ironic it would have been if you had, or if you had posted a fake cover like that to fool us….

  10. Totally agree, Luv. I missed a *golden* opportunity there!!!

  13. The real question, Maria, is how soon can we purchase it???

    Comment by Margaret — March 20, 2013 @ 6:34 pm

  14. It’s getting there, Margaret. It’s in copyedit and it’s about halfway through the first pass. I’ll update the release date if it changes. For now, I’m keeping my head down and my focus. Believe me, it isn’t easy to go through beta read after beta read, then copyedits, upload artwork, tweak colors or lighting, and then back to copyedits. The last couple of months before releasing a book requires an almost superhuman effort at concentration. It’s not just the tasks, but for me, it’s keeping all the plotlines and timing straight as I edit scenes out of order–and it becomes ever more important that I spell everything right and keep my commas in order. Fewer eyeballs see it as I near the finish line and I can’t afford to introduce errors!

But it’s coming along. No one is happier about that than I am.
