Book Bags!

GreenBagLady is doing it again–another giveaway of grocery or bookbags! Valentine’s Day theme.

I think another one of my sewing friends is going to be doing a bag giveaway today too. If so, I’ll add it to this post. I’m anxious to see what she has created…

In other fascinating news–King Richard III bones have been found. I know every single one of you has read at least one mystery or romance where King Richard or his nephews played a part. Well, they found the guy. Under a parking lot (it used to be a monastery). Fascinating!

About halfway down the page there’s an “interactive” with some good shots of the bones. Yeah, morbid, I know, but quite fascinating. There are no surviving unaltered portraits of the king. The skull will be used to create one. How cool (and morbid) is that???

  1. There had even been questions about whether Shakespeare had exaggerated the hump, but that spine is curved. Morbid but cool.

  2. According to one of the articles, he wouldn’t have had a hump (because of where the spine is curved) but would have had one shoulder higher than the other. It also said with that curve he would have been quite short. But there is nothing to say he didn’t scrunch his shoulders and looked humped…
