The Peeping Junior

Is he spying on us??? Trying to break in???

No, it turns out that Junior is climbing the screen because he spotted a lizard!!!

No, he doesn’t need the lizard. He has plenty of food. We even open the door when he wants to come in. But that doesn’t stop our intrepid hunter.

That screen is gonna have to go.

  1. Yep, it’s all about the hunt. Max’s nemesis is a gray squirrel that likes to visit my bird feeder.

  2. You’ll have to get a picture. Hopefully Max won’t try climbing a window to get the squirrel…seems like that could have a bad ending!

  3. LOL. My babies get similarly excited anytime they spot a green anole on one of our windows.

  4. Junior ROCKS!

Those pictures are darling… although, I have a feeling we think he’s cuter than you do, Maria. I would hate to see the damage he causes those screens!

  5. Junior is *such* a stinker. But how can anyone be mad at such an enthusiastic hunter??? He’s just being what he is. Now, I do admit when he tried climbing my curtains and there was no actual lizard involved, I did not find him so endearing. He got a good scolding for that one. He also thinks that the burlap hanging in my garden (to create some shade for the plants) is a hammock! He jumps up on the lowest swinging part and just lays in it until the supports pull out of the ground and the whole thing sags onto the ground.

He’s crazy as a loon, he is.

  6. My dad had a cocker spaniel who was an absolute rascal. That dog brought such joy to himdad… the more antics he would pull, the more my dad loved him!

Looks like your Junior is our Aspen’s equivalent!

By the way, living down here in Texas, the burlap sounds like a great idea to shade the plants. Too bad Junior doesn’t think so!
