Five a.m.
What is so attractive to kitties about five in the morning???? Sometimes Scamper doesn’t stop by all night. Sometimes she is by three, four or five times to eat. However, if that *feral* cat is in the mood for a good game of *indoor* chase, she likes to knock at the back door around five in the morning. After I let her in and go back to bed, she waits until I am almost asleep (or asleep) and then chases Junior around the living room. At times, it sounds like Junior doesn’t stop or turn in time and bangs into a wall. It’s hard to tell. It could just be that they are jumping across all the furniture. I know they are running wildly throughout the house because I can hear their claws dig into the carpet, and every now and then, I swear one or other other of them hits the kitchen tile at a full run and skids out of control into a cabinet door.
If I get up to see what the racket is all about, two kitties stop in their tracks and look veeeery innocent. Big eyes, “What?” written all over their fur. One or the other will calmly go to the food bowl as though no rough housing was happening at all. No siree, no wild games going on here, not at 5 in the morning. We’re just being good little kitties. We’ll wake you up if we need you. Just go back to bed and you’ll never know we’re here…

Maria,
Cats are so much fun to watch.
My cats play hide and seek.
One hides behind a door and waits.
At just the right moment…
she jumps and pounces on the other cat.
Then, they both jump up.
Funny little animals

Their playfulness is very endearing, isn’t it??
