Under Witch Aura

(Moon Shadow Series)

Caught in the Act

How many times has Junior been told to stay out of the onions???? How many????

Now you can see what a naughty kitten he is. There are nice, clear spots in the garden where the soil is damp. He could choose one of those spots, as I have explained to him many times. There is simply no reason to pick this spot. It is not as though he *blends.* When I scolded him, he told me he was keeping the birds out.

Hmph. I do not believe him. He was just lying in the onions because he likes it there.

  1. Interesting. There must be something about them that draws him there.

  2. Your poor little cat was just looking for a nice comfy cool spot to
cool himself down from the heat.
    Look at his face.
Sometimes mom just doesn’t me and my needs.

  3. Ha! Poor little cat??? That poor little cat is SPOILED, he is. No need to feel the least sorry for him. That look on his face is CONTENTMENT because he ignores all instructions and does what he wants!

  4. So….. you are saying that ‘just because he likes it in there’ is ‘no reason’ to be there. So….you never do anything ‘just because you like it’. I’d be willing to bet that he is grateful that you plant all those onions just so he’ll have a nice place to get out of the heat. And you provide entertainment telling him something you can’t possibly mean. (I.e. don’t lay there)

I used to have a dog who’d roll around on all the carrot plants. At least the cat seems to have a vested interest in leaving some of the onions standing.

  5. But RIGHT behind that patch is a spot cleared of onions (picked) about the same size. Damp and nice and dirty, JUST like the spot he smashes down. There’s nothing wrong with the empty patches–there’s about 4 of them. One is by the tomato plants and is even Shadier. He only does it because he knows I am going to air lift him out when I catch him!!! STINKER!!!!

  6. Looks like that’s a better hiding spot than the clearing, though. ;)

  7. I am sensing a distinct lack of sympathy for my plight. Sniffle.
