Review: Murder at the Courthouse

Murder at the Courthouse Five Stars

I picked this up a while back. I didn’t know it was considered Christian fiction when I started reading, but was pleasantly surprised to find it wasn’t preachy. It’s just a good mystery with great characters. There’s one character who prays a lot, but it fits in with both her personality and the events going on at the time. She’s not obnoxious about it, but if you happen to dislike that kind of thing, it’s easy to skip because it’s kept in her areas. The characters were fun to meet and get to know. They’re realistic and complex with some heart-tugging moments as the story grows. I was pretty sure I knew who the murderer was about three quarters of the way through, but there was so much else going on that it didn’t matter a whit. This is a good read for cozy readers and general mystery readers. There’s plenty of action and a great cast of characters to care about.

Definitely recommended.

  1. Thank you for the review! It has been in my TBR for a lot, so it goes up.
