Book Discussion: Pinned Post Week 8

Another one of those HUGE collections of 20 books is on sale (pre-order) for a limited time offer of 99 cents. (I think the price changes when the set goes live, but in general the way these sets work is they are offered for a short time at a low price. One of the sets I was watching was listed for about 2 months and then it completely disappeared from Amazon. I don’t know if they are all such a sort listing, but they are limited from what I understand.) This one is scifi and paranormal romance. I did one of these during the July extravaganza…no, I haven’t actually read any of the books in that set, but for 99 cents, there is bound to be one or two gems! I like the idea of “crafty hackers” myself.

And look what else I found! I’ve been watching this one forever and finally figured out it was out in kindle (it was originally with a publisher that priced it at 14.99 or some fool thing.)

Haunting Jordan

Welcome to Port Chatham…a charming little town with a lot of spirit!
Jordan Marsh has left L.A. for the quaint Pacific Northwest town of Port Chatham in pursuit of some much-needed R&R. As the prime suspect in her cheating husband’s murder, she’s hoping to immerse herself in the restoration of the charming Victorian she’d just bought–and put all talk of homicide investigations behind her. But as she soon discovers, the coldest of cases cry out to be solved, too.

For this old house comes furnished–with two garrulous ghosts who have a century-old murder of their own they’d like her to look into. Now, if Jordan can keep the L.A. police at bay and sort through a suspect list of shady characters circa 1890, she might just clear a wrongly accused man’s name–and her own.

Your turn! What are you reading this week and is it any good???
