I went through the new releases lists and it looks like 9.99 is the new “release price” for a lot of books, including cozies. Thrillers are worse–their new price appears to be 12.99 for a new release. SO, I decided to look for some books that were bargains. I perused my “recommended” lists on the forums and found this one:
D.I.C.Ks Case 1: Holy Murder I don’t think I’ve read a book where the first thing the investigators do is hide the body…probably not my first reaction if I stumbled across one!
When three friends and co-workers stumble upon a murder, they decide to hide the body until they can find their kidnapped Pastor before he meets the same fate. With humor and a little love along the way, the newly formed D.I.C.KS., Dames Investigating Crimes and Killers, stumble upon a prescription drug ring that leads them to break and enter buildings, follow criminals to an adult bookstore, and be betrayed by the most unlikely of suspects.
I picked this next one because I like “thief” books vanishing or otherwise.
Georgia Fenchurch appears to be an unassuming antiquarian bookseller in Victorian London, but the life she leads is as exciting as any adventure novel. For Georgia is a member of the Archivist Society, a secret association of private investigators led by the mysterious Sir Broderick.
